i do audio engineering and production with Protools at alleyone studio.

i began music at 8 yrs., playing accordion. February 1964: switched to bass guitar, specifically, after seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show. i played in rock and roll bands in high school. bass is my primary instrument. i also play accordion, keys, guitar, mandolin and drums.

   i have played in numerous bands over the yrs.: 1967-2015

    Marvin Gardens, The Mendocino All Stars, Renninger, Black Kangaroo, Avalanche, Link Wray, Brother Buzz. Mojo (Miles Corbin), Jimmy Knight and the Daze andThe Baxter Brothers (Paul Rogers), The King Sounds, Those Darn Accordions, Transistor Rodeo, The Aqua Velvets with Miles Corbin; having produced and engineered eight surf/instrumental cds beginning in 1992. From 2007-2009 I had the honor and the privledge to play with the late great Johnny Downer of Free Peoples in the bands Zymurgy and Pots and Pans.

        i am presently playing and creating with:

The Aqua Velvets: 35 year friendship with songwriter Miles Corbin. we released:

The Aqua Velvets, Surfmania, Nomad, Guitar Noir, Radio Waves, Backflip Louie and the Pool Party Pagans, Cool and Way Down at the Beach Chalet, Cool and Way Down at the Park Chalet.

Miles has released several cds of his own as well.

       Jennifer Faust: a smokey voiced singer song/writer, along with Alan Stassforth on slide guitar.

       Peter Kaukonen: playing bass, live and recording.

      Adam Lieb: “Haydon Voyage” and “Amnesia” playing bass and engineering and co-producing, also playing live. Adam has a new cd finished: "When in Rome".

      Chris Bramble: co-produced and played on his  cd "Laugh at the Wind".

      Amber Lee and the Anomalies: co-produced and played on her cd, “Estuaries”, also playing mandolin live.

     Chris Lods: playing bass live with "the TRIO" and "Tone Monster"

     Jon Gonzales: playing bass, singing and producing. 2 cds Water and Whisky and Hump

     Dave Hamilton: playing bass, singing and producing.

     The Gnuz Boyz: created once a month tabloid, satirical and almost newsworthy rap videos on Youtube with my cousin Robert Cole called What Was The Buzz   2 years +.

      Recording and creating with singer/songwiter, John Langlois. A project still in the final stages.

       a cd project with a rockin' Healdsburg band, Crazy Famous,  Brandon Hassur, John Brandau and KC Mosso.

         4 tune cd for Little lost boys a female duo out of sonoma county. roots traditionalists with a soulful flare.

        Playing in a groove/jazz/brazilian group: Jive Samba with David Howard on guitar, David Schrader (SF Saxaphone Quartet) on saxaphone and Tim Gahagan on Drums.  

       As a bass player, i am very lucky to be playing from time to time with the best drummers in sonoma county; Thomas Loos, Tim Gahagan, Jack Springette, Mark Collins (marin county), Osi Scott, Anthony Vito, Scott Charter, James Foster and Donn Spindt.

      i hosted the open mic at the Ace in the Hole Cider Pub in sebastopol ca on friday evenings and wednesday night open mic at aubergine afterdark in sebastopol ca  (6 years all together)

       i am a voting member of NARAS (National Academy of the Recording Arts and Sciences) as Songwriter and Producer/Engineer
